ABOUT XZIT: OVERVIEW
Xuzhou Institute of Technology (XZIT) is one of the four universities in Xuzhou, distinguished by its commitment to improving through advanced science and technology.
XZIT campus occupies over 180 acres in the heart of the city of Xuzhou, the third largest city in Jiangsu Province, where more than 13,500 full-time students receive a focused, technologically based education.
Accredited by the Ministry of Education of China, the Institute consists of 14 departments and an Adult Education School. Currently, it offers 43 degree programs in Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Computer Science and Technology, Information and Electronic Engineering, Food Science and Engineering, Design Art, Financial Accounting, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, CNC Machinery, International Trade, Laws, Foreign Languages, and etc. The Institute has 5 research centers, 22 dedicated laboratories, and over 100 practice fields located outside of the university campus.
XZIT employs about 900 faculty and staff members, 698 of them are full-time instructional faculties. Five of the professors are awarded special grant from the State Council.
In keeping abreast with the rapid economic growth in China and in a world that increasingly turns to technology for solutions, XZIT is committed to use innovative teaching and advanced research to define the technological university of the 21st century that will best prepare its students to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
